Navigating IDD Services?
The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Ombudsprogram provides guidance and advocacy to individuals, caregivers, and providers navigating services through the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) in New York State.
The helpline is free and confidential, and is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
IDDO can help you:
Learn about what services are available through the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
Resolve problems with your care manager, providers, fiscal intermediary, or staff
Advocate with you to make sure that your voice is heard and stand up for your rights
SAIL is a Regional Outreach Partner of the IDDO Program and provides community-based education and outreach across the counties of Franklin, St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Lewis, Hamilton, Herkimer, Oneida, Oswego, Onondaga, Cayuga, Tompkins, Tioga, Broome, Cortland, Madison, Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware.
